New Albums of Note 

September 2009: New album by João Bosco is absolutely awesome.

February 2010 -- A new Caetano Veloso album, out for almost a year and I didn't even know about it!! After "Ce", Caetano has veered back toward more traditional MPB -- but still with a touch of hard-edged rock.

I just visited a great store for music in Rio (on Copacabana) -- Bossa Nova e Companhia.  It is located on Rua Duvivier --- the very hallowed ground where Bossa Nova was born!!

The owner, Leila Martins, introduced me to new records by Paula Morelenbaum ("Berimbaum") and a remastered version of Elizete Cardoso's seminal "Cancao do Amor Demais" -- the very roots of Bossa Nova.
